I installed the quickstart package and I chose the option to install sample data, but the site does not look like the demo site at all. The template is not listed in the Template manager either. How can I fix this?

Hello BECCAJEEN,
Our suggestion is to delete all Joomla files and reinstall quick-start package one more time, please be sure you choose the template sample data not the Joomla data.
Sure thing. I want to change 'subject' to 'country', as simple a that sounds I'm finding it impossible. That is - on the contact form provided with the template.
I have tried adjusting from components->contacts->contact us and from the menu item. Tried everything I believe.
Is it that I can't adjust it I wonder. Or must I adjust some code somewhere.
Thanks

Hello ASDENNY1,
In this template we are using default Joomla contact form which doesn't have such option, but you may to download some extension and use it instead the default form.
1) On the demo site there is a section with the title "Our Stuff" on the About page. Where can I change the title? I have looked through all the articles, modules, menus, and categories and cannot find it.
2) I inserted my own logo which has a transparent background, but it appears on the page with a white background. How can I fix this?
Thank you

Thank you for your help. I have another question. When I load a page in IE10 I get this message: "Did you know that your Internet Explorer is out of date?
To get the best possible experience using our website we recommend that you upgrade to a newer version or other web browser. A list of the most popular web browsers can be found below.

How can I turn this off? I am able to load the pages fine in other versions.
Thank you

Hello BECCAJEEN,
This message you can receive in IE8 or less, it is because the IE8 does not support HTML5 elements, as result your site will look not good.
If you still want to disable it you have to edit the template index.php file by removing the following string on line 44:
Thank you. I will deactivate it. It does happen in IE10 when the Compatibility View is on. Many people do not understand how to use the Compatibility View, and I want to make sure that if they have it on they can still access the site.
Is it possible to turn the menu into a sidebar Menu? If so, how can I do this?
Sorry for so many questions. I am new to Joomla, but am learning pretty quickly.

When I change things in 'display' they don't carry over to the frontpage.
It seems it's just set on its current layout of name, email, subject, message no matter what I do.
Any solutions here?
Can you please provide us with more info? What exactly are you going to change?
