Joomla! Template 002046 - Item Support

Hello OTTAWARASKI2,
In case to have your website looks like our demo preview you have to install the quick-start package, the package cannot be installed via Joomla Extension Manager. The package should be installed manually, first you have to unzip it and then upload the content on your server or localhost.
Once uploading is done launch Kickstart by visiting its URL which looks like 'http://www.yoursite.com/kickstart.php'.

More detailed documentation you can find here:
https://www.akeeba.com/documentation/akeeba-solo/extracting-with-kickstart.html

Regards, AS Team.
This is way too compiicated and poorly documented as to how I am supposed to load the template onto my site.

If you have a quickstart package, why don't you design it so that it can be installed with Joomla Extension Manager instead of having to go through kickstart? I don't have a clue how I am supposed to use kickstart based on its documentation.

I give up on trying to use your template.
I am trying to migrate my 3.10 website to Joomla 4.
The update document as detailed as it may bei gives no hint how to install the template update.

Am I supposed to install the 4 template before updating?
I changed the default template to protostar and did the update.
Now I have the joomla 4 default template.

Then I tried to update this template and I it does not install with the error message that another template is using the directory „[ROOT]/templates/as002046“
do you want to reinstall ?

But there is no button to say yes. The it says the installation failed.
Well then I tried to deinstall the V2 version of the template which worked except for a notification that an ini file could not be deleted.

The I tried again to install the new package but got the same error as before. Now what am I supposed to do? Delete the directory ? I want to keep all my changes that I did to my site.

I have done more research. in deleted the directory and after that a coupler of ini files according to the error messages. After that I could install the template but it was not really installed as no directory was created. After a reboot I could install the template and make it the default template. Then it still did not work because you have to install every extension from the extension directory one at a time by hand.
This is no problem if you would have documented it somewhere easy to find. I have not found it.While installing teh superfish extension I server crashed. Now I am waiting for a reboot. To be continued......
I finished to install the reamining extensions. When I load the home page I get that error:

0
Class "JString" not found

C:\xampp\apps\joomla\htdocs\modules\mod_as_scroller\helper.php : line 95

OK now I will have to wait for further instructions from you.
Hello MIKEWW1,
Pleas remove AS Scroller, it is not compatible with Joomla 3, please use Hot Joomla Carousel instead, our suggestion is to install kickstart package to preview all parameters and used modules.

Regards, AS Team.
Well I want to migrate a J3 site made with your template to J4. I do not want to recreate my site. My site is:

www.spirit-inside.at

I thought that after the migration the site would work as before. How do I transfer from as scroller to carousel ?
I have now deactivated as scroller and I had to deactivate mod_as_menu.

Now the site loads but I have lost my menu bar. How do I get back the menus ?
I installed the kickstarter package as you recommended in another vm and that helped me to get back the menu. Now I use the superfish menu. I had two lines of menu items. Superfish puts everything in one line. Is there a possibility to get two lines back?

Another thing:

I understand that you had to rewrite some pieces of your modules for J4. Why did you not provide an update guide that helps people like me to migrate a website.

Now this is all research and trial and error.
Another thing: The superfish menu is not displayed correctly. There is a grey band that says AS Superfish menu and then below are the menu items.
Here is a screenshot

Please help me with this menu issue. I want to get rid of that AS Superfish headline. By comparing your configuration with my configuration I have found no hint what to change.
Hello MIKEWW1,
Go to the AS Superfish Menu module, under the Module tab look for Title parameter on the right and set it to Hide.
