Can i at least change the background image? is the revolution slicer installed on the demo?

For changing the background image, in the 'tmpl.default.css' file please find class named '.header' and edit the 'background-image' property.
Unfortunately, the contributions of a Newsflash category are always displayed below each other. I took over all the settings from the demo data! Is there a special setting?

putting the page on main is not inoff, he will open the right page @ the start but the menu isnot working when i click on home
