I am try to update from my current 2.5 template to my new 3.0 template of AS002031. However, as soon as I uninstall the old template using extension manager, My template settings from 2.5 are deleted. How can I install the new template without deleting settings of the old version? Is there a secret to updating my old template to my new template without losing my current settings?

Hello OZARKMINI,
The problem is that the new template for Joomla version 3 was fully recreated, changed all module positions and files structure. It will not work just by replacing the previous template version. The template is moved under Bootstraped Framework. The Bootstrap Framework makes it fully responsive to all screen resolutions and aspect ratios. Moreover, thus it carries a lot of useful features, for instance additional HTML elements, set of CSS components, grid system and much more.
If you will decide to move to the new version you will need to build your existing site from scratch using the quick-start package. Please do not forget about backups.
Okay. That is fine. Question. I have followed the direction on your website and installed the template using quickstart.zip. However it has deleted my menus as well as the template settings. After restoring from the backup I used only the premium.zip. Is there anything I am missing by not using quickstart.zip?

Sorry. One more question. It is not completely clear where to upload quickstart. Is it in the root folder of Joomla installation or is it in a new sub directory?

Hello OZARKMINI,
It depends on what do you need, if you install it in the root folder you have to delete the old Joomla version, if you install it in some sub folder you may use it for your development and when your site will be done you can move it to the root.
Hi there. One question: After quick installation including example-files I want to change the background-color of the AS-Menu. But changing the background-color in 'Menu Options' of the module don't take effect. Can you help me?

Hello ROLAND123,
The template overrides menu color accordingly to the template style, it should be changed in the css files only, what is your site url please? We will check it and let you know in which file it should be changed.
Hello again
My site is offline (localhost).
While using the default template style I get this message:
"NetworkError: 404 Not Found - http://localhost/as2/templates/as002031/css/style.default.css"
(using other styles e.g. 'coffee' then ...style.coffee.css is found)
I want to use the default style and dont know what to do.
It works when I change background-color in '..templates/as002031/css/ext.asmenu.css'. But is this the right way?
Thank you for help!

Hello ROLAND123,
In case to help you with this error message we need to have an access to you Joomla admin panel please. The info please put in the Special Info area under your Purchased items section of your AS account.
The current version I just upgraded to (for Joomla 3.x) no longer has a shadow effect (transition) in the header, altough for previous version this was done graphically (for 2.5).
Maybe (?), bg.header.shadow.png should take over this job, but may not be in the appropriate layer...
Any help would be highly appreciated, as I really like this slightly hue change...
Regards,
Andri

Hello ASCHUETZ,
You are right, the new version doesn't have such effect, as you know the new version completely changed, but if you interested you can ask for our customization services via the following page: http://www.astemplates.com/customservices
Hello
As you asked me I put the information you need into the special info area.
Once again my question:
I want to customize the AS-menu to give another background color to the menu. Changing the background-color in 'module manager -> main menu -> menu options' don't take effect (what else is it for?).
Using the default template-style, the developer toolkit says:
"NetworkError: 404 Not Found - http://blickfang-immobilien.de/as002031_quickstart/templates/as002031/css/style.default.css"
Can you tell me the right way to change the background-color?
Thank you
Roland

I want to ask you if you know about this problem of AS-menu:
Sometimes when the mouse-pointer moves over an opened submenu the submenu disappears without any reason.
Most times it works but sometimes this problem happens.
It would be nice to hear from you.
Thanks
Roland
Just checked in all browsers, everything is working fine, probably you move your mouse too fast.
