Hello Melissa,
You have to create a page with featured articles then in Layout options put Leading Articles to 0 (zero), Intro Articles and Columns to 4.

Our suggestion is upgrade your Joomla to the latest version 2.5.1, if you will still have the same problem please contact through the ”Contact Us” page and provide with access to the Joomla admin panel.
