I'll check for the latest GK highlighter module and see whether it is fully compatible with the latest version of Joomla. For the slider, you can hide/display it on specific pages. Do this by visiting the Rev Slider module admin section and then apply the necessary settings.

Thanks for the help. I did what you said, but what I need is to remove the slider of the featured articles that appear in the home page. These items are not linked to a menu.

It would be better if you took a snapshot of what you would like to remove because the only slider that I am seeing on the homepage is the revolution slider.
