Ok, uploaded quickstart.zip; unpacked it; went to domain and it immediately says "Congratulations! Joomla! is now installed." Never asked me to go through installations steps. When I click "Remove installation folder" and go to site I get "Error displaying the error page: Application Instantiation Error".
Uploaded plenty of quickstart.zip to other sites and they worked fine. What is UP with this template?

Please completely remove the old Joomla version, it looks like you still have some not removed files, especially configuration.php file.
