It looks like you have not installed sample data on final step, please carefully check the following page, last step:

I can change and add image in the AS Nivo Slider without problems.

Your site is offline, but if you installed this template using quick-start you should not have the Nivo Slider, in the latest version we are using Art Slider. The extension allows you to display article's intro image with the article title and intro text. All these articles you can find under Slider category in your Joomla admin panel -> Content -> Article Manager page.
