We checked one more time the quick-start package, it was installed without any problems, please try to install Joomla 2.5 without the package.

You can't install the quick-start package via extension manager. A quickstart is basically a fully functional and customized Joomla! package containing the default Joomla installation package, all modules, choosen template and plugins with all the configurations and data in one place. The sample data in the quickstart package is also personalized according to the template and is much different to the sample data found in the default Joomla package. The best way is install the template using quick-start package, after installing the package your site will looks exact like our demo preview and it will be easy to make any changes in your site content, otherwise you will need to create and config all positions and modules manually, it may take you a lot of time.

The social icons block can be done in custom HTML module, please use the following code:
